LAWTON, Alma Leonie In her 99th year, passed away into God’s loving care on Friday, February 19, 2010, at The Waterford Long Term Care Centre, Oakville, Ontario. Alma was the life-long partner and beloved wife of the late Altamont Vincent Lawton (January 2, 2006). She was the devoted mother of seven children: Marjorie lngle of Cambridge, Raymond Lawton of Virginia, U.S.A., Denis Lawton, Patrick Lawton (Colleen) of Burlington, Imelda Lawton- Lawler of Toronto, Kevin Lawton of Guelph, and Philip Lawton (Barbara) of Milton. She was the dear grandma of twenty-one grandchildren, twenty- one great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. Alma is now united and peacefully resting with her husband Alty. Her love and devotion will remain with her family and friends forever. Resting at the Gilbert Maclntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel , 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, where the family will receive friends on Monday, February 22, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A special vigil for Alma’s family and close friends will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 3:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Church, 175 Emma St., Guelph, on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Interment, Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Parkinson Foundation of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
