Peacefully with his family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the St. Joseph's Hospice in Sarnia on Friday, February 5, 2010 in his 77th year. Beloved husband of the late Denise Bilcke (1991). Loving father of Christa and her husband Rob MacLaggan of Sarnia; Eric and his wife Cathie of Guelph. Proud and loving grandpa of Kate and her fiancee Steve. Horace will be fondly remembered by Cathie and Eric's children Sean, Tanja and her husband Darryl and Michael and his partner Janna. Dear brother of Andre (Mariette) Bilcke, Silvere (Denise) Bilcke, and predeceased by his sisters Esther Verdoodt and Simone Vanneste . A special heartfelt thanks to Andre, Mariette, Janet and Frank for their continuous love and support through our dad's long struggle. The Bilcke and MacLaggan families would like to thank Dr. Monique Dostaler, Dr. Glen Maddison and all the wonderful, caring staff and volunteers of the Sarnia St. Joseph's Hospice, C.C.A.C, V.O.N and the Bayshore Nursing teams in Guelph and Sarnia, as well as Dr. Leslie and the radiology team at the London Victoria Hospital. Friends will be received at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph, on Saturday, February 13, 2010 from 9 -11 am. A Celebration of Life will follow in the chapel at 11 am. Interment Marymount Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Joseph's Hospice, 475 N.
