MITCHELL, Margaret Loraine At St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Guelph, on Sunday, January 31, 2010. Margaret Loraine (Potts) Mitchell, in her 96th year, was the beloved wife of the late George Mitchell (1979). She was the loving mother of David Crawford Smith and his wife Marie of Guelph, Peter Crawford Smith and his wife Judy of the Turks and Caicos BWI, and Andrew Crawford Smith of Edgewater, BC. Margaret was the proud grandmother of Jordanna (Chris), Janine (Andrew), Darrin (Tina), Andrea (Mike), Amanda, Caitlin (Todd), and of ten great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her brothers John Potts and James Potts and her sister Bernice Troost. Margaret will be remembered for her devotion to her family and her faith. She was an integral part of all family gatherings. Margaret was a volunteer at St. Joseph’s Hospital for over 25 years, and enjoyed singing with the Silvertones Choir, Lawn bowling, bridge, and travelling. She was a faithful servant and a very active member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Guelph for many years. Resting at the Gilbert Maclntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, where the family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 from 10-11:30 a.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at 11:30 a.m. Cremation to follow. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at the Village of Riverside Glen and of Oakridge Falls at St. Joseph’s Health Centte for their special care.
