BUCHER, Florence Ruth - Peacefully, at the Guelph General Hospital on July 19, 2010, after a short illness in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Dr. John W. Bucher and loving mother of Whitney (2003), John and Robert. Dear grandmother of Lisa, Bethany, Margaux, Lauren, Jenny, Eric and doting great-grandmother of Launa. Florence remembered with great affection, Robert’s late wife Julia Bucher (2007) and will, in turn, be remembered fondly by John’s partner Ruth Hayston. For over fifty years, Florence served in the I.O.D.E (Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire) doing her share of community service until she was not able. Last week, with perfect timing, Florence made a weekend visit to her cottage in Port Elgin and viewed the most beautiful sunset in the world for the last time. Florence loved to be surrounded by brightly coloured flowers. May she rest in peace. Friends will be received at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, 'Dublin Chapel', 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, on Thursday, July 22, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, July 23, 2010 at 1 p.m. Cremation to take place
