The Gilbert
MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home and Chapel believes in helping families of
all faiths and denominations. The Funeral Home is known for offering
personal service in gracious, comfortable surroundings, and at a
reasonable cost.
In 1933, Gilbert MacIntyre (1910-1994) opened an undertaking parlour on
Quebec Street, Guelph (where the Guelph Centre is today). By 1938, the
business had relocated to its present address on Dublin Street. The
Dublin Chapel and neighbouring property have undergone many changes
since that time. As a result of renovations, a foyer, chapel, family and
fellowship lounges and five visitation rooms offer tasteful sanctuary to
bereaved families, while the parking lot accommodates up to fifty
vehicles.
In 1998, the Rockwood Chapel of the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home
was opened to serve families in the village of Rockwood and surrounding
area.
In 2004, the Hart Chapel of the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home was
opened on Gordon Street, in the city of Guelph, just south of the
University of Guelph.
At all locations, the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home offers
traditional funerals, limited visitation funerals, memorial services,
and private services, with burial, entombment, or cremation. Besides the
price list, more detailed information may be obtained by telephoning one
of the offices, or emailing
info@gilbertmacintyreandson.com.
Many people decide to pre-plan funeral arrangements for present and
future peace of mind. The Funeral Home staff specializes in observing
the wishes and alleviating the concerns of those they serve.
The Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home has a large selection of
quality caskets, burial vaults, and cremation urns to reflect a variety
of personal needs and tastes. There is no cost or obligation for making
inquiries.
