O'CONNELL, Armour (Army) - Peacefully, with his family by his side, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, on Saturday, August 9, 2008. Armour O'Connell, in his 84th year, was the beloved husband of Marlene (McAllister) O'Connell. Dear father of Gary (Colleen) O'Connell, Michael O'Connell, Randy (Beverly) O'Connell and Catherine O'Connell. Cherished grandpa of Debbie, Ashley, Melissa and Jenna. Dear great-grandpa of Christopher and Noah. Survived by brother, Huck (Mary) O'Connell. Predeceased by his brother, Jack and sister, Betty. Army was a Second World War veteran and a Hospice volunteer since 1980. Also, he was awarded the Canada Volunteer Award. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel , 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Vigil for Armour will be held at the funeral home at 3:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Joseph's Church, 409 Paisley Rd., Guelph on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. Interment, Marymount Cemetery.
