FELKER, Gladys Jean - Passed away at the
Guelph General Hospital, Guelph, on Tuesday, August 12, 2008. Gladys Jean (nee
McTavish) Felker, in her 89th year, was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth
Felker (1967). She was the dear mother of Kurt Felker, Sharon Felker, and
Heather Felker. Gladys was the loving grandmother of Jillian, Sean, Sarah,
Randy, Krista, and Jennifer, and great-grandmother of six. She was the dear
sister of Sister Bernita McTavish. Gladys was predeceased by her parents,
Alexander and Catherine (nee Birmingham) McTavish, four brothers, Joe , Edgar,
Alexander, and Gordon, and three sisters, Dorothy Gohl, Ethel Mewhiney, and
Sister Vivian McTavish.
Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son
Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, on Thursday, August
14th, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Vigil for Gladys will be held at the funeral
home on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Church of
Our Lady, 28 Norfolk St., Guelph on Friday, August 15, 2008 at 10 a.m. The ashes
will be interred at Woodawn Cemetery, Guelph, at a later date. As expressions of
sympathy, donations to the Arthritis Society or to the Heart and Stroke
